We recommend the following for math:

  • A real strength of the All Math site is that it has flash cards Go to the AllMath.com - math site for kids! Home of flashcards, math biographies and Ask The Experts. You have to work around the annoying pop-ups but the things like the interactive flash cards is worth the bother.
  • The Helping Your Child With Arithmetic and Math website has excellent information and a useful set of links to other sites.
  • The next one is another strong interactive program, ThinkQuest.
  • The World of Math Online has excellent explanations. It covers topic from general to the specific, and good links also.

Science

In the general science category we selected the following as examples:

  • Cool Science for Curious Kids makes science understandable by relating it to everyday activities your child will readily understand from her / his own life experiences.
  • Basic science for kids is strong in the area of innovative suggestions for experiments and projects.
